【Ephesus Ancient City】During the Roman Empire, due to its convenient port access, Ephesus became
the capital and largest city of the Roman province of Asia Minor, with a population of 250,000.
Historically known as Ephesus. Today, Ephesus is one of the world's best-preserved ancient cities
and the largest Greco-Roman ancient city. It features a complete urban layout and rich ruins. Entering
Ephesus, you will successively see magnificent ruins including an open-air theater capable of seating
24,000 spectators, the library, marble streets, ancient Roman baths, ancient Roman public latrines,
temples, markets, the odeon, and more.

【Pamukkale (Cotton Castle) & Hierapolis Ancient City】Pamukkale is most renowned for the Ancient
City of Hierapolis and its adjacent travertine terraces.
The Ancient City of Hierapolis means "Sacred City" in Greek. Located on the hilltop above Pamukkale,
this ancient city was a thermal spa city founded by the kings of the Attalid dynasty of Pergamon
around 190 BC. Its overall architecture inherits the ancient Greek style and extensively uses arches,
making it a classic example of vaulted architecture. Attracted by the therapeutic benefits of the hot
springs, they built this city nearby. The city contained not only a good drainage system, a library,
and a marketplace but also public facilities like a circular plaza accommodating over 20,000 people.
Although now in ruins, one can glimpse its past prosperity and glory among the weathered remains. You
can take a leisurely stroll through the ancient city area during your free time. Water flowing from
rocks 200 meters high on the plain, along with calcite in the water, forms Pamukkale (meaning "Cotton
Palace" in Turkish). This unique, layered landscape resembles a white waterfall cascading down the
mountain slope. The pool water comes from nearby hot springs, rich in minerals like lime, carbonate,
calcium, copper, and magnesium. It is said that both bathing in and drinking this water have
miraculous therapeutic effects, especially for sciatica, gynecological, nervous system, and urinary
tract diseases. The thermal pool area was exclusive to Roman aristocrats and is reputed to have
magical healing properties. If you wish to walk on the white travertine terraces, please note: wearing
socks is not allowed, and the ground may be slippery. Please watch your step.

Check out after breakfast and drive to Antalya. In the Kaleiçi Old Town district, first visit Hadrian's
Gate, a magnificent city gate built during the Roman period. It is one of the best-preserved ancient
structures in Antalya and a classic landmark for photos. Then proceed to the Yivli Minaret, this tall,
blue-striped mosque minaret is one of the symbols of Antalya. Blending Seljuk and Islamic architectural
styles, it is one of the most representative landmarks in the old district.
Karaalioğlu Park, enjoy the coastal scenery and lush green gardens, overlooking the azure waters of the
Mediterranean Sea. It is an ideal place for walking and relaxation.
In the historic district, you will encounter the Kesik Minare (Truncated Minaret). This ancient structure
incorporates elements of a Byzantine church and a mosque, bearing witness to Antalya's long religious and
cultural history.
【Düden Waterfall Park】Located approximately 12 km north of Antalya city center, it is one of the most
popular natural attractions around the city. The park is named after the spectacular Düden Waterfall,
which plunges from a height of about 20 meters. The spray creates a cool, pleasant environment, especially
popular in summer. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes for walking and be careful of slippery
surfaces around the waterfall.
【Aspendos Roman Theatre】This theatre follows the Greco-Roman style; part of the structure is built
against the hill, while the rest rises from level ground using arcade construction. Its excellent state
of preservation is due not only to the ingenuity of the architects of that time but also to the Seljuk
Turks who, upon occupying the area, converted the theatre into a palace of honor and carried out numerous
restorations. Although the theatre's structure has suffered from the passage of time, later generations
have done their best to repair and restore it. Today, over 1,800 years later, it is open to the world and
serves as the venue for the annual International Opera and Ballet Festival.

【Topkapı Palace】After the Ottoman Empire conquered Constantinople, Sultan Mehmed II ordered the
construction of a palace on the headland in 1462 AD. The palace was completed in 1467 AD, and the royal
court moved in immediately. It subsequently served as the residence for successive Ottoman sultans. In 1924
AD, Kemal Atatürk ordered the palace to be converted into a museum, opening it to the public, which remains
its function today (Topkapı Palace is closed on Tuesdays; if the visit coincides with the closure day, the
schedule will be adjusted accordingly).
【Basilica Cistern】Built during the Byzantine Empire period, the cistern was constructed beneath the Stoa
Basilica, hence its name. The Stoa Basilica was one of the largest squares located on the First Hill of
Constantinople. From the Byzantine era through the Ottoman period, it served as a crucial water source for t
he Hagia Sophia and Topkapı Palace. The reservoir is supported by 336 columns, creating a distinctive
interior colonnade resembling an underground palace. The atmosphere, enhanced by ambient music and
reflections on the water, is mystical – a public work blending utility and aesthetics. At the bases of two
columns on the northern rear side are Medusa head sculptures; another column features unique "tear" patterns.
It was opened to the public in 1987 after restoration.
【Grand Bazaar】The traditional Grand Bazaar (Kapalıçarşı) literally means "covered market" in Turkish. After
the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, Sultan Mehmed II ordered its construction. Initially a small market, it
was subsequently expanded and covered, reaching its current scale. The bazaar houses at least 5,000
traditional Turkish shops offering a dazzling array of traditional souvenirs, including carpets, textiles,
spices, jewelry, copperware, and antiques. Wandering through this vast market, you'll be overwhelmed by
choices while also experiencing the unique charm of haggling in a foreign land!
