6/24(三)/ DAY 06-Inti Raymi(Sun Festival)Full-day Tour
Today, you will experience a full-day tour of the Inca civilization's Sun God Festival.
(Please apply sunscreen, bring sunglasses, and an umbrella.)
When people think of Peru, many associate it with the “ancient Inca civilization,”
whose mystique is one of the country's most captivating attractions. The term “Inca”in Peru
originally referred to “descendants of the sun.” The Incas believed that the sun god Inti was
their ancestor and the most important and highest deity. For the agrarian Incas, the sun
controlled crop yields, providing sunlight for crops to thrive and ensuring bountiful harvests.
The sun also illuminated daily life, dispelling darkness. However, on the winter solstice (June
24), when the sun is farthest from Earth and daylight is shortest, the Incas held the “Sun
Festival” to pray for the sun's return to Earth. This tradition has been passed down to this
day, with such grand scale that the Sun Festival (Inti Raymi) has become the second-largest
traditional festival in South America.

Today, in addition to experiencing the Inca festival, you can also visit Cusco depending on your
schedule: Cusco was the capital of the Incas before the Spanish invasion and colonization, and it
still preserves many ancient palaces, temples, fortresses, stone walls, and churches that are
remnants of Inca culture:
1. Qorikancha: This former Inca palace was converted into a Spanish-style church after the
Spanish invasion. Although the palace no longer retains its original appearance, the intricate
masonry techniques used in its construction remain awe-inspiring.
2. Sacsayhuaman Fortress: Explore the majestic ancient Inca fortress, enjoy a breathtaking
panoramic view of Cusco, and discover the surrounding ruins.
* If there is insufficient time today or if the group members feel tired, the visit can be
rescheduled for the next day.
Regarding today's lunch arrangements, since the Sun Festival celebration lasts nearly 7 hours
and spans 2-3 different sites, and with over 2,000 domestic and international visitors annually,
the large number of visitors makes everyone eager to enter the site early to participate in the
long-awaited Inca ceremony. Therefore, today's lunch will be a simple boxed meal to allow
visitors from afar to continuously experience this rare annual Inca event.
If guests choose to dine at a restaurant, factors such as travel time, distance, and traffic
restrictions may result in a loss of approximately 2–3 hours. By selecting this option, you
agree to this time loss and acknowledge that our agency bears no responsibility for any
discrepancies in the itinerary.
Lunch will depart the scenic area around 10:00 AM to head to the restaurant. All group members
must be seated at the viewing platform of the Sacsayhuaman Fortress by 1 PM.

6/27(六)/ DAY 09-Puno-Lake Titicaca Tour
Lake Titicaca is known as the “Little Switzerland of South America” and there is a floating
island on the lake that has been floating for hundreds of years. After breakfast, depart from
the pier in Puno Bay and arrive at ▲Uros Island in approximately 30 minutes. The island
features several reed houses and watchtowers, constructed entirely from reeds and secured to the
lake bed with bamboo stakes. The islanders who reside here continue to uphold traditional
Peruvian ways of life. The Uros Islanders often paddle around the waterways in small boats made
of reeds, called “totora,” creating the unique landscape of Lake Titicaca. Currently, there
are still over 40 floating islands in the lake, each of varying sizes. The smaller ones house
around ten people, while the larger ones have schools, post offices, and shops! On Uro Island,
we can learn how the islanders use reeds to build their houses and boats, and how they live on
the reed floating islands—this is the most primitive way of life, without modern electrical
systems or gas facilities. Additionally, we can admire the beautiful scenery of South America's
highest inland lake, with its clear sky reflecting the turquoise waters, fresh air, and serene
environment, resembling a dreamlike paradise.
Taquile Island is a three-hour journey. This is a true natural island, and the purpose of
visiting is to explore the unique customs and traditions of its residents. In simple terms, the
island's residents have their own unique social management system. The island's main sources of
income from tourism are the sale of woven goods and the operation of restaurants. The men's work
also involves weaving items such as hats, clothing, scarves, and bags. All woven goods on the
island are collected at a central location, priced, and sold to tourists (at a fixed price),
with the proceeds distributed by their organization.
The unique patterns on these woven items are strictly regulated, so you can't find these
distinctive designs anywhere else.

6/28(日)/ DAY 10-Puno(JUL)-Lima Airport(LIM)-United States
(return to home country)
If time permits(requires a 2-hour break)(no additional fees or refunds), we will make a detour to visit Sillustani.
In the Titicaca Lake region, the indigenous Colla people constructed numerous cylindrical standing tomb towers,
with the largest and best-preserved ones located in Sillustani. To reach Sillustani, the cylindrical tomb tower complex,
the earliest estimates suggest it dates back over a thousand years. Despite the rise and fall of empires, this tradition was
preserved, and even during the Inca period, the Titicaca region continued to practice tower burial customs.
From the stonework craftsmanship, it is also easy to distinguish the chronological order. During the Inca period, the stone
surfaces were laid flat with tight joints; whereas the stone blocks of pre-Inca burial towers were much rougher and less stable.
These historically significant burial towers, after centuries of weathering, have mostly been shattered or reduced to their
foundation stones, with only a few remaining intact.
Return to Lima, have dinner, then head to the airport for an international flight back to your beloved home. End of the itinerary.
(If you are departing tonight and your flight is the next day, please contact our agency if you need accommodation arrangements.
Accommodation and airport transfers are additional services and are not included in the quotation.)
